Quickstart

This is a secure On/Off Power Switch for XXXQFrequencyName. To run this device please connect it to your mains power supply.
1) Connect the power supply.
2) Set the Z-Wave network main controller into inclusion mode (see Z-Wave network controller operating manual).
3) Triple click the Z-button or power up the device , RGB LED indicator should blink fast in blue.4) Smart Plug should be recognized and included into the Z-Wave network.

Product Description

Smart plug is a Z-Wave Switch plugin module specifically used to enable Z-Wave command and control (on/off) of any plug-in tool. It can report wattage consumption or kWh energy usage, and can indicate the power level with a RGB LED. Smart Plug is also a security Z-Wave device and supports the Over The Air (OTA) feature for the products firmware upgrade .

3. RGB LED indicator mode

Smart Plug’s RGB LED indicator supports two work modes, including Power indication mode, and momentary indication mode.
Power indication mode: Power indication mode will allow the RGB LED to follow the state of the Smart Plug, when the Plug is on, RGB LED will be on in the color below, and while the Plug is off, RGB LED will remain in the burgundy.
Momentary indication mode: Smart Plug will work in power indication mode for 5 seconds then turn off after every state change in the Plug’s load.
The hue of the RGB LED will change according to the output load power level when it is in power indication mode:

Burgundy – Smart Plug’s output is OFF.
Blue – 0~350W.
Cyan – 350~700W.
Green – 700~1050W
Yellow – 1050~1400W
Red – 1400~1750W
Purple – 1750~2100W
Purple blink – exceeds 2100W

4. Testing for Z-Wave network range

Smart Plug’ RGB LED indicator can signals its communication quality with the Z-WAVE main controller.
To start testing: Pressing and holding the Z button for 5 to 9 seconds, release when the RGB LED indicator turns to violet. Every time Smart Plug enter the test, it will be tested 30 times.
To quit testing: short press once Z-button during the test.

RGB LED indicator will blink first and then be on for 2 seconds under every single test. Blinking indicates that Smart Plug is communicating with main controller, being on indicates the result of the test.
Blink in green or/and orange: Smart Plug establish a direct communication with the main controller, and still under checking.

Keep green or orange or red: Show the result of the test.
Green: communication is stable.
Orange: communication is moderate.
Red: communication is failed.

Reset to factory default 1) Insert the Plug into a socket
2) Press and hold the Z button for more than 20 seconds
3) If holding time more than 20 seconds, the RGB LED indicator will keep yellow for 2 seconds, which means resetting is completed. Use this procedure only in the event that the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
Inclusion Triple click the Z-button or power up the device , RGB LED indicator should blink fast in blue.
Exclusion Triple click the Z button. RGB LED indicator will blink orange till the removing process is completed, than the indicator will keep orange for 3 seconds.

Configuration Parameters

Parameter 20: Overcurrent protection

Smart Plug keep detecting the load power, once the AC current exceeds 16.5A for more than 5s, smart plug‘s relay will turn off.

0 The function is disabled
1 The function is enabled.

Parameter 21: Setting device status after power failure

Define how the Plug reacts after the power supply is back on.
Size: 1 Byte, Default Value: 0

Setting Description
0 Smart Plug memorizes its state after a power failure.
1 Smart Plug does not memorize its state after a power failure. Connected device will be on after the power supply is reconnected.
2 Smart Plug does not memorize its state after a power failure. Connected device will be off after the power supply is reconnected.

Parameter 24: Notification when Load status change

Smart Plug can send notifications to associated device (Group Lifeline) when the status of smart plug’s load is changed.
Size: 1 Byte, Default Value: 1

Setting Description
0 The function is disabled.
1 Send Basic report.
2 Send Basic report only when Load status is not changed by Z-WAVE Command.

Parameter 27: RGB LED Indicate modes

After smart plug being included into a Z-Wave network, the RGB LED indicator will indicate the situation of load.
Size: 1 Byte, Default Value: 0

Setting Description
0 Power indication mode.
1 Momentary indicate mode.

Parameter 151: The value here represents minimum change in wattage (in terms of wattage) for a meter report to be sent

When the change value of load power exceeds the setting value, smart plug will send meter report (watt) to associated device (Group Lifeline).
