Product Description

The slim-sized PSM-29ZW power meter switches measure and report individual appliances electricity consumption to control panels for energy management purposes. Their energy consumption reports are viewable online and help you form effective strategies to reduce electricity bills. The PSM-29ZW can be programmed to automatically run home appliances. They enable you to turn on/off appliances from a smartphone or tablet anytime, anywhere.

Reset to factory default Please use this procedure only in the event that the primary network controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.1. Press and hold the Switch Button of the device for 12 seconds to factory reset.2. Factory resetting the device will restore it to factory default settings (excluded from the Z-wave network). The Z-wave gateway or control panel will still keep its Z-wave settings. Please refer to the gateway or control panel manual on how to remove the devices Z-wave settings.3. Factory resetting the device will also clear all accumulated power data.

Special Operations as Z-Wave Controller

As long as this device is not included into a Z-Wave network of a different controller it is able to manage its own Z-Wave network as primary controller. As a primary controller the device can include and exclude other devices in its own network, manage associations, and reorganize the network in case of problems. The following controller functions are supported:

Inclusion of other devices

Communication between two Z-Wave devices only works if both belong to the same wireless network. Joining a network is called inclusion and is initiated by a controller. The controller needs to be turned into the inclusion mode. Once in this inclusion mode the other device needs to confirm the inclusion - typically by pressing a button.

If current primary controller in your network is in special SIS mode this and any other secondary controller can also include and exclude devices.

To become primary a contoller have to be resetted and then include a device.

1. Plug the Power Switch into a power outlet.2. Put the Z-wave gateway or control panel into Inclusion or Learning mode (please refer to the Z-wave gateway or control panel manual).3. Within 1.5 seconds, press the Switch Button 3 times.4. Refer to the operation manual of the Z-wave gateway or control panel to complete the learn-in process.5. If the device has already been included (learnt) into another Z-wave Gateway/Control Panel, or if the device is unable to be learnt into the current Z-wave Gateway/Control Panel, please exclude it first (see Exclusion) before attempting to include it into the current Z-wave Gateway/Control Panel.

Exclusion of other devices

The primary controller can exclude devices from the Z-Wave network. During exclusion the relationship between the device and the network of this controller is terminated. No communication between the device and other devices still in the network can happen after a successful exclusion. The controller needs to be turned into the exclusion mode. Once in this exclusion mode the other device needs to confirm the exclusion - typically by pressing a button.

Attention: Removing a device from the network means that it is turned back into factory default status. This process can also exclude devices from it's previous network.

1. Put the Z-wave gateway or control panel into Exclusion mode (please refer to the Z-wave gateway or control panel manual).2. Within 1.5 seconds, press the Switch Button 3 times and the device will be removed from the Z-wave network.
