Product Description

This small devices monitors the air quality and warns if there is a danger of mold in the room. In order to detect mold-supporting conditions the temperature, the relative humidity, the air pressue and the airs dew point is measured and also reported. In case of mold-danger the device can directly control other devices (e.g. heating or ventilation) and it reports the event ot a central controller using Z-Wave notifications.
The device also allows setting thresholds for temperature and humidity to take action in case the monitored values fall outside these values.  This can be used to establish control loops for temperature and humidity. Updated of measured values are sent unsolicited in case thee is a change. This prevents polling and frequent wakeup and therefore extends battery life.

Installation

Just place the device on any flat surface. Please keep in mind that the temperature may be different on different locations inside the room. If placed too closed to the heating both temperature, humidity and dew point values may be wrong. The device is IP 20 rated. This means that is must not be exposed to direct water (rain). It is safe to use the device in a humid environment such as bath room or dedicted washing facility.

Product Usage

Once the device is powered up it will start monitoring the air parameters and warn of mold if included to a Z-Wave controller. All air parameters are measured every 4 minutes. Pushing the button will force an immediate measurement and the LEDs will indicate the danger of mold:

  • green: no danger of mold in the room
  • red: danger of mold, oen the windows to lower the humidity
The device contains four sensors with the following accuracy measures:
  • Humidity: +/- 3 % on relative humidity, +/-1 % hysteresis
  • Air Pressure: within 300... 1100 hPA and 0...65 grd C +/- 1 kPa
  • Temperature: 0 ... 65 grd C +/- 1 Kelvin
  • Dew Point: 0 ... 65 grd C +/- 1 Kelvin (calculated from other sensor values)

Reset to factory default Keep the button pressed for 10 seconds. After 5 seconds the red LED will start blinking.
