Quickstart

This is a secure Notification Sensor for XXXQFrequencyName. To run this device please insert fresh 1 * CR2477 batteries. To run this device please make sure the internal battery is fully charged. Single Click the button adds and removes the device. After adding to the Z-Wave network install the device into the final location. Then doubleclick the button to calibrate and arm the sensor. The device supports the Security S2 framework with unauthenticated network keys. Please follow the instructions on the central controller when including.

Product Description

This little sensor and protect any kind of moving or shaking parts  from misuse and theft. It measures acceleration in all three dimensions and will issue an alarm when the device is moved or shaken. Possible applications are doors that are not supposed ot be opened regularlay, trash bins, only certain people are allowed to use or certan furniture that requires special protection.

Installation

The device can be installed on every flat and dry surface. If needed use double sided tape to screws to mount the device. Please note that touching the sensor will issue an alarm when the device is armed. The device must be initially armed once placed on the final location. Double click the button for arming. The red LED will blick  for few seconds until the greed LED confirms that armign was successful.

Product Usage

Once the device is installed and armed every acceleration of the device in any direction will issue a notification alarm (Z-Wave Alarm No. 7) into the lifeline. Low battery notifications are also reported into the lifeline.

Configuration Parameters

Parameter 1: Sensitivity

This parameter defines the threshold for the acceleration sensor to trip. Please note that there is always movement, e.g. by cars driving by. Setting this value too low will therefore issue lots of wrong alarms and drain the battery.

Parameter 2: Auto-Reset

This parameter defines the time the sensr will automatically reset the alarm condition (and stay armed) once there is no further movement detected.

Parameter 3: Manual Disarming

The device can be armed/disamed using the standard Z-Wave function for alarm asming/disarming.  Arming is always spossible with double clicking the button. Manual disarming behavior depends on the setting of this parameter
