Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.
Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.
This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.
If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

Smart Home for Beginners and Experts
The tedee GO 2 smart lock allows intelligent control and access management via smartphone and integrates seamlessly into your existing door design. An improved motor delivers a torque of 1.6 newton-meters, ensuring smooth and efficient rotation—even with heavy multi-point locks. Thanks to optimized energy management and reduced noise levels, the lock operates quietly and smoothly in any home environment.
Installation is particularly easy, as no additional mounting hardware is required. The tedee GO 2 is mounted on the inside of the door by simply attaching it to the existing key already inserted in the lock cylinder—done. If the inner cylinder protrudes less than three millimeters, the included self-adhesive adapter must be used. Calibration is completed in just a few steps using the free Tedee app (available for Android and iOS).
Compact and Powerful Smart Lock
With its compact design and a diameter of just 57 millimeters, the motorized lock is barely larger than a door knob and easily blends in with the door’s overall appearance. The housing is made from high-quality plastic in the elegant Tedee design. The smart lock also impresses with its performance and optimized mechanics, which feature a modern gearbox and quieter motor for even more silent operation. The combination of gearbox and materials ensures exceptionally quiet operation. tedee GO 2 is powered by three CR123A/R batteries, offering an average battery life of about eight months when the lock is used up to eight times per day.
Traditional keys become obsolete with the tedee GO 2 smart lock, as the door can be conveniently opened and closed via smartphone. The lock is operated via Bluetooth using the Tedee app. The owner maintains complete control over who can access the home, when, and how. Access permissions can be granted anytime, anywhere—to family members, guests, or service providers—with options for permanent, time-limited, or recurring digital keys. An activity log provides a clear overview, showing all activities in chronological order. The auto-unlock feature via the Tedee app adds even more convenience, automatically opening the door upon approach. The latch can be pulled back temporarily, and the door can be automatically locked again if needed.
Integration into Smart Home Systems
For integration into smart home systems, a separately available Tedee Bridge is required. tedee GO 2 is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Fibaro, Google Home, Loxone, and additional systems via a web API. Future support for Matter is also planned. This enables the creation of a wide variety of automated scenes, access permissions, and device interactions.

The included self-adhesive adapter is required if the inner cylinder protrudes less than 3 mm from the interior door plate.
Please read the user manual before installing the product.
In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.
ATTENTION: only authorized technicians under consideration of the country-specific installation guidelines/norms may do works with mains power. Prior to the assembly of the product, the voltage network has to be switched off and ensured against re-switching.
On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.
Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.
Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.
