What is Z-Wave?

Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.

Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.

This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.

If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

Product Description

The Tesvor X500 Robot Vacuum can be conveniently controlled via a Smartphone App. The app offers you endless possibilities for controlling and programming the Tesvor X500. For example, you can view cleaning maps, set a cleaning schedule, select the cleaning mode or start and stop the robot vacuum. Alternatively, the smart device can be easily controlled with your voice via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistance.

The Tesvor X500 is particularly suitable to use on hard floors. Whether laminate, parquet, tiles or PVC - the robot vacuum reliably takes care of cleaning your floors. It can also vacuum dust and dirt off carpets without any problems.

The three-stage cleaning system consists of V-shaped floor brushes, a brushless motor and a specially designed suction channel. In addition, the robot vacuum cleaner impresses with a strong suction power of up to 1,800 PA. The Tesvor X 500 also cleans places that are difficult to reach with a conventional cleaner. Thanks to the low height, the robot vacuum cleaner can also move under furniture to effectively clean dust and dirt from hard-to-reach corners with the two long side brushes.

There are several sensors on the bottom of the Tesvor X500 Robot Vacuum Cleaner that identify steps as such. This allows the smart device to reduce its speed and change its direction of movement so that it does not fall off on stairs or other steps.

The robot vacuum uses gyroscope technology to navigate, so the smart device can create a map of your home in real-time, and thus notice where it has already been vacuumed. With its 0.6 litre dust container and powerful battery, the Tesvor X500 provides up to 120 minutes of runtime for a cleaning area of up to 150 m². The 0.6 litre dust container offers more than enough space to vacuum not only dust, but also hair and other dirt. At the same time, the smart appliance is able to pass carpets with a maximum height of 0.6 cm without assistance. The robot vacuum cleaner can also easily overcome doorsteps with this height, so that it can move to the next room without your interaction.

With a noise level of less than 65 dB, you can run the Tesvor X500 even when you are in the same room without being disturbed. Thanks to the "Over-the-Air" technology (called OTA), the smart device is always up-to-date. The technology allows you to transfer settings and updates wirelessly via your W-LAN connection.

But that"s not all, as the robot vacuum knows exactly when it is running out of energy or when a cleaning task is finished. Then it automatically returns to the charging station to recharge.

Prepare for Installation / Reset

Please read the user manual before installing the product.

In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.

Safety Warning for Mains Powered Devices

ATTENTION: only authorized technicians under consideration of the country-specific installation guidelines/norms may do works with mains power. Prior to the assembly of the product, the voltage network has to be switched off and ensured against re-switching.

Inclusion/Exclusion

On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.

Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.

Quick trouble shooting

Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.

  1. Make sure a device is in factory reset state before including. In doubt exclude before include.
  2. If inclusion still fails, check if both devices use the same frequency.
  3. Remove all dead devices from associations. Otherwise you will see severe delays.
  4. Never use sleeping battery devices without a central controller.
  5. Dont poll FLIRS devices.
  6. Make sure to have enough mains powered device to benefit from the meshing
