Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.
Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.
This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.
If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

If you want to control more devices remotely, Power Strip is the right choice. It allows you to control up to seven devices individually while keeping an eye on the power flow and energy consumption. This allows you to better optimise the economics of your household and save money on energy costs.
Continuous Overview Of Your Power Consumption.
A smart plug allows you to keep track of exactly how much electricity is flowing through it. You can keep an eye on this data at all times.
Separate Control.
You can control the outlets and USB ports separately. You can thus conveniently manage each and every device that is connected to the Power Strip.
A Wide Range Of Automation Options.
Thanks to the TESLA Smart app on your phone, you can set up the individual outlets and USB ports as required. Setting up is easy – it won"t take you more than a few minutes.
Easy to use.
Manage all outlets and USB ports via one app on your iOS or Android phone or tablet. You can control each outlet and each USB port separately. In addition, the app shows you at any time and at any place whether the outlet or port is currently on or off. So an iron that you forgot to unplug will trouble you no more. A smart plug can turn your home into not only a smarter but also a safer place to live.
Assistants for the greatest convenience.
The TESLA Smart app controlling the smart plug can be connected to the smart personal assistants Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. These allow you to control the device with your voice, making the use of the plug even easier.
Up to 3 devices with 4 USB ports.
Manage all outlets and USB ports via one app on your iOS or Android phone or tablet.
Turn ordinary appliances into smart ones.
Thanks to the app, the smart plug offers plenty of automation options. One of its great advantages is the ability to turn even ordinary appliances into smart devices. The possibility to control each outlet separately comes in handy if, for instance, you have an ordinary lamp in one outlet and wireless headphones in the other. At this point, you can start charging the wireless headphones remotely without turning on the lamp.
Features:
Please read the user manual before installing the product.
In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.
ATTENTION: only authorized technicians under consideration of the country-specific installation guidelines/norms may do works with mains power. Prior to the assembly of the product, the voltage network has to be switched off and ensured against re-switching.
On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.
Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.
Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.
