Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.
Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.
This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.
If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

The TESLA Smart Home Smart Motion Sensor Zigbee is a smart assistant that monitors everything that moves in its surroundings. It has a constant and perfect overview of the area in order to be ready to serve wherever it is needed.
Easy To Use.
You can set everything up in a smart app that you download to your phone. The app then keeps you informed of everything that moves in the house.
Mutual Communication.
The sensor TESLA Smart Sensor Motion uses the ZigBee protocol. ZigBee allows, among other things, the individual smart home devices that also use it to communicate with each other and thus react to different situations.
Wide Range.
All ZigBee sensors have a range of up to 50 m. Even a mouse won"t slip through.
Smart home manager.
The sensor TESLA Smart Sensor Motion communicates with many smart home features. Therefore, it does not have to be just a light that it instructs, but it can also control entire groups of devices.
It gets along with smart assistants.
The TESLA Smart Sensor Motion communicates using the ZigBee protocol. This protocol can connect smart home devices via TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub with the TESLA Smart app. You can download it on Android and iOS devices. The app itself, which controls the smart home features, is then fully compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Set it up as you like.
It"s entirely up to you how you set up your smart sensor. However, you can be sure that it can do a lot.
Getting started is a piece of cake.
Installing the sensor is neither complicated nor difficult. The sensor can be set up as needed by adjusting the rotation or sensing angle of the space. Installing the app to your smartphone only takes a moment and the app is easy to use.
Zigbee protocol.
The product belongs to a group that uses the ZigBee protocol by which the products communicate with each other. For the proper functioning of these products, it is necessary to have the TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub central unit as part of the smart home. This creates a common network for these products and allows them to interact with each other. For example, if the humidity sensor detects an increased value, it will automatically notify the dehumidifier via the TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub, which will start.
Features:
Please read the user manual before installing the product.
In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.
ATTENTION: only authorized technicians under consideration of the country-specific installation guidelines/norms may do works with mains power. Prior to the assembly of the product, the voltage network has to be switched off and ensured against re-switching.
On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.
Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.
Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.
