Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.
Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.
This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.
If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

Four buttons, many possibilities. That is the TESLA Smart Home Smart Switch Quatro Battery Zigbee. Each of the buttons detects three actions which can have different functions. So you can set it up in lots of different ways. It"s entirely up to you which one you choose.
Four Buttons, Three Actions.
All buttons detect three actions. You can select a special function for each of them in the app. But the scenarios can be much more interesting.
TESLA Smart App.
Control all your smart home devices with the TESLA Smart app on your smartphone or tablet. It is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
Zigbee Protocol.
The smart switch uses the ZigBee protocol. ZigBee is very stable and reliable. It won"t fail, so your home will always be monitored.
TESLA Smart Home.
You can program and set the button TESLA Smart Switch Quatro Battery yourself to your exact requirements. But that"s not all. Via the ZigBee protocol, you can connect various devices so they can interact with each other. When you flick the switch to turn on the lights, for instance, the air conditioning can start automatically.
It connects the smart home and ensures your comfort.
With the wireless ZigBee protocol, you can also connect the switch with other smart assistants and set automatic scenarios for them in the app. For instance, as soon as you turn off the bedroom light at night, the outdoor cameras turn on and the air purifier switches to silent mode.
Control any device.
You can then connect each of the buttons to any paired device and conveniently control them from one place.
Ideal for smart bulbs.
If you have smart bulbs, you may be struggling with the problem of losing the possibility to control them via the phone app after turning them off with a standard switch. With the smart switch, this will no longer be an issue. The switch turns the bulbs off, but leaves the power on. So you can still easily control them via the app.
Zigbee protocol.
The product belongs to a group that uses the ZigBee protocol by which the products communicate with each other. For the proper functioning of these products, it is necessary to have the TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub central unit as part of the smart home. This creates a common network for these products and allows them to interact with each other. For example, if the humidity sensor detects an increased value, it will automatically notify the dehumidifier via the TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub, which will start.
Features:
Please read the user manual before installing the product.
In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.
ATTENTION: only authorized technicians under consideration of the country-specific installation guidelines/norms may do works with mains power. Prior to the assembly of the product, the voltage network has to be switched off and ensured against re-switching.
On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.
Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.
Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.
